SPDT and DPST switches

by ourcircuits

8 parts

Two manual switches you can click while the scope runs. The SPDT (one common, two throws) re-routes the bottom leg of a voltage divider, so each click re-scales the output sine. The DPST throws two ganged poles at once, breaking BOTH rails of its load the way a mains isolator does — and the floating load shows why a disconnected circuit can still read a phantom voltage. Contacts are real stamped resistances (10 mΩ closed, 1 GΩ open); bounce and arcing are not modelled.
