Boost converter, 12 V → 28 V

The buck's mirror image: the inductor sits UPSTREAM of the switch, so each time the low-side MOSFET releases the charged coil its flyback stacks on top of the 12 V input and the diode peaks it into the output cap — 28 V from a 12 V rail. The controller senses the output and integrates duty at 20 kHz. At this light load it runs in discontinuous conduction: the inductor current returns to zero every cycle, drawn live by the ƒx expression probe tracing I(L1).
