The flagship. A complete switch-mode power supply: the controller compares the output against its 5 V reference and pushes duty cycle at 20 kHz, a floating gate driver lifts that to a high-side MOSFET, and the freewheel diode plus LC filter turn the chopped 12 V rail into smooth, regulated DC. Every part in the chain is load-bearing — pull any one out and it stops.
