Vbe multiplier
5 parts
The amplified-diode bias block from every push-pull output stage: R1 (6.8 k) from collector to base and R2 (3.3 k) from base to emitter force the transistor to hold its collector-emitter voltage at roughly V_BE·(1 + R1/R2). Fed from a 0–8 V sine through 1 k, the node follows the divider until the BJT conducts, then clips flat at a measured 2.28–2.32 V while the base holds one V_BE of 0.69–0.70 V. The measured multiple, 3.33×, runs above the 3.06 resistor ratio because base current through R1 adds its own 0.19 V — a real-device detail the ideal formula hides.
